About

Jeff Wilson is a Lecturer in the Student Professional Development Program (iLEAD) in the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He was a part of the team that worked to get the professional development curriculum required for all UIC undergraduate students.

Jeff has been quite engaged in his communities as an activist, volunteer and leader. He wrote the curriculum for BA 320 – Civic Engagement - and serves as the course director. Jeff is an advocate for engagement at every level, and is an avid supporter of student organizations at UIC.

Prior to teaching, Jeff amassed considerable experience in career coaching, and served as a Director for the UIC Business Career Center for 6+ years and in several coaching-related roles at Loyola University Chicago. He also served Loyola University as Director of Alumni & Special Events. Jeff launched his professional career in student leadership development with the National Headquarters of his college fraternity – Alpha Tau Omega.

This experience, along with his improv training at The Second City, combine to inform his teaching for BA 100, BA 220, and BA 420. His teaching emphasizes engagement, career exploration, being in conversation (networking), and shaping internship/job search strategies.
