On July 1, 2025, we had the honor of hosting Zhiyuan (Jerome) Cao and Yanchuan (Coco) He from Beijing FESCO International Education Consulting Co., Ltd. (Beijing FESCO). This visit marked a celebration of the 31-year partnership between UIC Business and Beijing FESCO in offering a one-year MBA program—one of the earliest collaborations between a U.S. university and a Chinese education service provider.

The meeting was attended by Associate Dean Andriy Bodnaruk and Shawn Conner, Director of UIC’s Office of International Affairs, who highlighted the enduring strength and mutual success of the partnership. Together, the two institutions reflected on their shared history, starting from 1994.

In addition to celebrating past achievements, the discussion turned toward the current challenges international educators are facing in an evolving global landscape. Both UIC and FESCO reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration and working together to support the next generation of global business leaders.

A significant milestone for FESCO came last year when the company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (Ticker: SH600861) on May 19, 2024, signaling its continued growth and influence as a market-oriented, state-owned enterprise. As China’s first professional human resources service organization, FESCO today serves millions of talents and tens of thousands of corporate clients across more than 400 cities in China and 100+ countries and regions worldwide.
