Celebrating A Legacy of Service, Impact and Dedication

UIC Business community gathers to honor retiring colleagues whose dedication helped shape the college’s legacy

On Wednesday, May 6, UIC Business faculty and staff gathered to celebrate and honor a remarkable group of colleagues as they concluded distinguished chapters of service to the college. Each of these individuals has played an integral role in shaping the UIC Business community, contributing decades of dedication, expertise, and care. Their collective impact on our students, colleagues, and institution will be felt for years to come.

Five adults—four women and one man—stand side by side in front of a step‑and‑repeat backdrop, each holding a bouquet of flowers.

The celebration was filled with laughter, hugs, and a few heartfelt tears, set against a backdrop of scrolling messages of appreciation. Colleagues and friends shared spirited and personal tributes as each honoree was recognized with flowers and a warm send-off. As Dean, I was deeply inspired by the camaraderie, genuine affection, and strong sense of community that define UIC Business.

We extend our sincere gratitude and best wishes to our esteemed honorees:

  • Dianne Coleman – Director of HR Strategic Services, CBA
  • Elizabeth Dickey – Associate Director, Academic Outreach Initiatives – Research Centers, CBA
  • Edita Diorio – Director of Operations – Dean’s Office, CBA
  • Michael Michela – Instructional Development Specialist – CBA Online Programs
  • Angela Prazza Winters – Assistant Dean for Online Programs – CBA Online Programs
  • Tracy Warner – Senior Assistant Dean, Business Career Center, CBA

We thank them for their extraordinary service and lasting contributions to UIC Business. They leave behind a legacy of excellence—and a community strengthened by their work.
