Celebrating Innovation in Healthcare

Dean Sandy Wayne and guest speaker Tim Zoph, Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, stand together in front of a red UIC backdrop with armchairs on stage during the “Shaping Healthcare’s Future: A Business Perspective” event.

On Thursday, October 2, the College of Business proudly hosted Tim Zoph, Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, for “Shaping Healthcare’s Future: A Business Perspective.” Tim shared powerful insights on digital health, patient-centered technology, and his leadership in transforming Northwestern Medicine into a $5B academic health system.

We were also honored to have Chirag Rathod—a UIC pharmacist and MBA student—serve as our moderator. Chirag’s work of engaging prescribers in evidence-based conversations to improve patient outcomes reflects the very spirit of innovation we aim to foster.

A special thank you to UIC alumna Mary Szela for sponsoring this impactful event, and to our faculty, staff, and students who made the afternoon a success through your thoughtful participation.

Events like these highlight our commitment to connecting business education with real-world leadership and innovation. Thank you for helping us shape the future.
