TransUnion Leader and UIC Alumna Inspires Business Scholars
Career insights, financial literacy, and internship opportunities take center stage.
Connecting Scholars with Industry Leaders
We had an exciting day with the UIC Business Scholars as we welcomed Sheri Mathis, Vice President of Sales at TransUnion and a proud UIC Business alumna. Sheri shared her inspiring career journey and emphasized the critical importance of financial literacy in today’s world.
In addition to her insights, Sheri highlighted upcoming internship opportunities at TransUnion, a UIC Business corporate partner, giving students a firsthand look at how they can apply their skills and grow with a global leader in information and insights. The engagement from our Business Scholars was outstanding—students asked thought-provoking questions, sparking meaningful dialogue, and participated in a hands-on networking activity that brought classroom learning to life.
Moments like these showcase the power of connecting students with industry leaders. We are grateful to TransUnion and Sheri Mathis for investing in the future of our scholars.
Special thanks to Dean Sandy Wayne and Business Scholars’ advisor Mayra Castellanos (Sanchez) for their support in making this event possible!
