EVHybridNoire Undergraduate Fellows Showcase at UIC
UIC Business students showcase innovation and collaboration through hands-on electric mobility experiences and industry partnerships
During the 2025–2026 academic year, the EVHybridNoire E-Mobility Fellowship Program selected two students from the College of Business Administration: Reina Serrano-Rivera and Muhib Rahman, to participate as fellows. Under the guidance of their campus advisor, Clinical Associate Professor of Information and Decision Sciences (IDS), Unsal Ozdogru, they engaged in academic and professional development opportunities aligned with the program’s mission. As part of the program, a campus event was held on April 8 at the South Lawn of University Hall.
Collaboration among departments
Through collaboration across UIC departments—including Facilities Management, Transportation, Meetings & Conferences, Planning, Sustainability, and Project Management—attendees explored a range of innovations, from UIC’s electric vans to an electric lawnmower. The event also featured demonstrations and insights from UIC staff and student researchers in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Highlights included interactive presentations, engagement with new technologies such as the Lucid Gravity, and discussions with external partners. The event also generated interest in expanding fellowship opportunities for UIC students, supporting continued collaboration in this area.
Building on this momentum, future showcases aim to further strengthen engagement and interdisciplinary partnerships.
The electric vehicle showcase brought together students, faculty, staff, and external partners, including EVHybridNoire and Plug In America, to foster a hands-on learning environment focused on emerging EV technologies.
