Global Collaboration: UIC Business and NCU Explore Research Partnerships
Introduction
On Friday, June 20, 2025, UIC Business welcomed Dean Jin-Huei Yeh and Professor Chien-Wen Shen from the School of Management at National Central University (NCU) in Taiwan. Dean Wayne was joined by faculty members Andriy Bodnaruk, Ali Tafti, Joan Farre-Mensa, Özgür Arslan-Ayaydin, Boxiao Beryl Chen, and Selva Nadarajah for this special visit.
Faculty from both institutions shared their research areas and engaged in a productive dialogue about future collaboration opportunities. Our guests were highly impressed by the depth and quality of research at UIC Business and expressed strong interest in expanding joint research efforts across additional focus areas.
This partnership is supported by the University of Illinois System’s new joint research initiative with the National Taiwan University Alliance (UAAT). Out of 47 proposals submitted across the UI System, only eight were selected for funding—and UIC Business is proud to be the only college at UIC to receive this award. This recognition highlights the College’s research excellence and reinforces our commitment to advancing global academic partnerships.
