Matt Landon, MS Accounting is Student Leader of the Month at UIC Business
UIC Business recognized Matt Landon as the September 2026 Student Leader of the Month. This recognition celebrates students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, strengthen the UIC Business community and make a meaningful impact through campus involvement.
Landon is a Master of Science in Accounting student at the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating in December 2026. He served as President of the UIC Accounting Club from May 2025 to May 2026, leading initiatives that connected students with accounting professionals through networking events, career development programs and employer partnerships.
Landon also serves as an Illinois CPA Society Student Ambassador, helping students learn about scholarships, professional opportunities and resources available through the Society. Passionate about mentorship, he works to create opportunities that help students succeed both academically and professionally.
After graduation, Landon plans to begin his career in public accounting and earn his CPA license.
