Meet the Firms Accounting Fair Connects 350+ UIC Business Students with Top Employers

Students explored internship and full-time opportunities while engaging with 32 accounting employers and more than 25 alumni at this semester’s signature recruiting event.

The UIC Business Career Center hosted its Spring 2026 “Meet the Firms” Accounting Career Fair on February 11, bringing together 32 accounting employers and more than 350 UIC students for an afternoon of high-energy networking, career exploration, and hiring activity.

Students engaged directly with recruiters to learn about internship and full-time opportunities across public accounting, corporate finance, consulting, and industry. The fair featured UIC Business Corporate Partners Wipfli and Medline, along with a wide range of regional and national firms committed to hiring UIC Business talent.

A highlight of the event was the strong alumni presence. More than 25 UIC alumni returned to campus as corporate representatives—sharing their career journeys, identifying candidates for their job openings, and demonstrating the strength of the UIC Business network in action.

“Meet the Firms” continues to serve as a cornerstone event for accounting students, providing early access to employers, meaningful conversations, and direct pathways to internships and full-time positions.

The event was organized by Ginger Lacy, Associate Director of Corporate Engagement for Accounting, and Kevin Dimayuga, Recruiting Coordinator, whose leadership helped create a dynamic and impactful experience for both students and employers.
