Networking Beyond the Classroom: Meet the Grad Faculty 2025
Back-to-school season can be busy for graduate students balancing classes, work, and family, but more than 60 students made time to attend UIC Business’s Meet the Grad Faculty event on September 2. Dean Wayne, along with directors of graduate studies, department heads, and faculty from across all disciplines, spent two hours networking with students in-between classes.
This informal event underscored the importance of networking and community building—skills we emphasize for graduate student success. Students appreciated the chance to connect with faculty and staff on a personal level, strengthening the support system that drives their academic and professional growth. Special thanks to Joey Maman and Scott Schneider for leading the event and to all the faculty who participated.
