UIC Business Scholar Wesley Schroeder Takes His Finance Experience Global
Meet UIC BS Double Major, Wesley Schroeder
Wesley Schroeder is a senior double majoring in Finance and Accounting at the UIC College of Business Administration. On campus, he is a part of the UIC Business Scholars program, works as a Becker CPA campus ambassador, and serves as a director of Corporate Relations for the UIC Accounting Club and Finance & Investment Group, where he has created many meaningful corporate events for UIC Business students, connecting them to opportunities around the Chicagoland area.
This past summer, Wesley worked with NVIDIA as a Finance Intern on the Global Operations and Manufacturing Cost Accounting team at the company’s headquarters location in Santa Clara, California. Selected as one of six undergraduate finance interns worldwide for the summer term, he had the opportunity to contribute to challenging work revolving around corporate financial reporting, inventory management and forecasting, and supply-chain data analytics. His main project included developing an end-to-end financial reporting tool and data pipeline system that combined modern data management software with an agentic application to reduce recurring manual work and improve the financial visibility of the complex manufacturing supply chain organization-wide. This tool was recognized by NVIDIA’s finance leadership and will be used by multiple business partners moving forward to increase alignment across supplier relationships.
After wrapping up his internship, Wesley made his way to Seoul, South Korea. He will continue his studies in the fall semester at Korea University, one of the country’s leading business schools.
