UIC Business Students Make an Impact Through Aon x Junior Achievement Pilot Program
Collaboration with Aon, a UIC Business Corporate Partner, brings financial literacy and college exposure to Solorio High School students
UIC Business Students Drive Financial Literacy at Solorio High School
Earlier this year, UIC Business announced the Aon x Junior Achievement of Chicago x UIC Business Pilot Program, which launched during the Spring 2026 semester. Aon employees and UIC Business students teamed up to present Junior Achievement of Chicago (JAC) financial literacy training to students at Solorio High School.
This innovative pilot program allowed Aon employees (current business leaders), UIC Business students (future business leaders), and Solorio High School students (future college students) to share and gain knowledge. The pilot program included two JAC learning events at Solorio High School and concluded with a UIC campus visit for Solorio High School students. Here is an impact snapshot of the pilot program:
- JA All About Cars (Feb 20): 390 Solorio High School students participated
- JA Town (Mar 20): 350 Solorio High School students participated
- UIC Campus Visit (April 10) 48 Solorio High School students participated
We are grateful for this successful collaboration with our friends at Aon, Junior Achievement of Chicago, and Solorio High School, and thank them for this opportunity. Shout out to our amazing UIC Business student volunteers and to UIC Business pilot program coordinators Cordelia Callaway, Assistant Director, Professional Development and Communication Programs, and Rosa Rebolledo, Associate Director, Business Career Center.
