Welcome to the Newest Class of UIC Business Graduate Students

As we begin a new academic year, I am delighted to welcome the newest class of graduate students to UIC Business.

On August 20 and 21, we welcomed hundreds of incoming online and on-campus graduate students during our New Student Onboarding events. Students from across our master’s programs came together to learn more about their programs, meet their peers, and explore the resources available to support their academic and professional success.

The events featured a range of opportunities for students to connect and learn. Brendan Born, President of the Graduate Student Advisory Board, shared his experience as a student and discussed ways for on-campus students to get involved. Recent MBA alum Nicolas Tamborrel joined our online students for a Student Spotlight, sharing his journey and advice for success.

Students also heard from our Professional Development Program, which included a session led by Paul Rodriguez, and learned about career exploration and preparation resources from Rita Bieliauskas of the Business Career Center. Program breakouts gave students the opportunity to meet with their Directors of Graduate Study and learn more about their individual programs.

Just as importantly, both events provided time for students to network and begin building the community that makes the UIC Business experience so meaningful.
