His career spans leadership roles at Ernst & Young, McGladrey, and Deloitte & Touche, as well as founding and running CP Partners LLC — a full-service accounting firm serving churches and nonprofit organizations. This breadth of real-world practice gives students an unmatched window into how accounting works across industries and sectors.
An innovative educator with a passion for student engagement, Professor Chang has built a following of 10,000+ on TikTok (@NotProfChang) through creative content on accounting education and has presented his novel pedagogical approaches at multiple American Accounting Association conferences.

- Senior Auditor, Deloitte & Touche LLP (2002–2003) and Arthur Andersen LLP (1999–2002) — audit and consulting experience across financial services, governments, and nonprofits.
- Director of Finance and Accounting, GoodCity (2015–2017) — oversaw finance and accounting for a $2M nonprofit, managing cash flow, fiscal sponsorships, audits, and regulatory compliance.
