About

Experience
Ronald Jastrzebski is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he serves as Managerial Accounting Course Coordinator and Faculty Advisor to the Accounting Club. A CPA and CGMA with more than three decades of professional and academic experience, he brings an exceptional breadth of real-world corporate accounting expertise — spanning plant control, corporate controllership, financial planning, and operational audit — directly into his teaching.
Before joining UIC full-time, Professor Jastrzebski taught at Northwestern University, Purdue University, Loyola University Chicago, Penn State, and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, among others — accumulating one of the most extensive teaching records in the department. His classroom approach is hands-on and interactive, grounded in the conviction that students learn best by solving real problems alongside an instructor who has lived them professionally.
He teaches across the full accounting curriculum — from financial and managerial accounting to cost accounting, AIS, and financial statement analysis — and makes himself fully available to students outside of class, including optional exam review sessions and open-door office access.
