On April 11, 2024, UIC’s First Annual Finance Reception brought together alumni, faculty, students, and business professionals to celebrate the close of an academic year and for networking.The evening’s highlight was a fireside chat by Terrence J. Mullen, CFA, a UIC B.S. Finance and Economics graduate, retired Managing Director at Allstate Investments. The event was hosted by the Department of Finance with the Portfolio Management Team and Finance and Investment Group at UIC.

On April 19, 2024, UIC Business and Accounting Club co-hosted the 51st Annual Accounting Banquet on the 66th Floor of the Willis Tower. The event gathered 150+ attendees to celebrate excellence within our accounting program and to honor sponsors, students, faculty, and staff for their outstanding contributions to UIC Business. Scholarship recipients and winners were recognized across various categories within the Accounting Club. This year’s keynote speaker, Geoffrey Brown, President, and CEO of the Illinois CPA Society, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of industry connections and presence in achieving success.
