Various media outlets, including the Chicago Sun Times reported on the Chicago Cubs hiring Jeremiah Paprocki, a UIC senior majoring in communication, as the team’s new public address announcer. Paprocki, a native of Chicago, is the Cubs’ first Black public address announcer and the youngest to ever have the role at Wrigley Field, according to the team.
