The Information Systems Audit Control Association (ISACA), representing over 140,000 information systems professionals around the world, recently presented Professor Matt Liotine with their Commitment to Excellence Award in acknowledgement of his work on training the next generation of information systems professionals. As chair of the ISACA Academic Program subcommittee, Professor Liotine has been at the center of ISACA’s relationships with educators, students and academics institutions, and has overseen the production of ISACA teaching materials such as their free Cybersecurity Student Book. At UIC, Professor Liotine teaches a range of courses on systems analysis, operations management and systems security (among other topics), and has served as an advisor for UIC’s ISACA student chapter.
