About
Jonathan Bonham is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the UIC College of Business Administration, where he has taught since 2023. Prior to joining UIC, he spent six years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, one of the world's leading business schools. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Rice University and holds dual undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Economics from Brigham Young University. Professor Bonham is a leading researcher in accounting theory, with work published in top journals including The Accounting Review and the Review of Accounting Studies, and has presented at prestigious institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yale, and Columbia. His teaching spans financial and managerial accounting at both the undergraduate and MBA levels, and he is committed to helping students understand how accounting information shapes business decisions and incentives.
